Employee Engagement at Edit
But it doesn’t end there. Here at Edit we place huge importance on individual wellbeing and the value of a shared purpose.
A lot of our work talks about humanising the customer experience and we believe it should be the same for our employees. We want our staff to recognise each other as humans at work and not just a colleague they sit next to. We want to Improve people’s mindset and approach and encourage and support all of our employees to be their best selves by providing an environment in which they can flourish. We support each other when things get tough and ensure we celebrate our successes.
That’s why we created Zest – our employee engagement programme. Developed to link our approach to wellbeing, communication and objectives underpinned by our core values, we have created a programme of co-ordinated activities to ensure our business is full of like minded people who understand their role, understand their colleagues and understand their shared goals. All of this helps our Editors to feel empowered, live and breathe our values and aspire to be more.
To deliver this programme we created a committee for each value. These teams of volunteers focus on creating events and initiatives as part of the Zest programme to keep our values front and centre of our day to day lives. Part of the programme includes a focused `value’s’ week where we allow staff time out of their working day to attend these sessions and have a little `me’ time to develop themselves and each other.
