B Corp Certification
What is a B Corp?
Certified B Corporations™ (B Corps™) are for-profit companies that use the power of business to build a more inclusive and sustainable economy.
They meet the highest verified standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability. As of 2020, there are almost 4,000 B Corps in 150 industries and 74 countries around the world.
Edit’s Certification
In February 2022 Edit were officially awarded B Corp certification, one of a select few marketing services businesses to achieve certification anywhere in the world.
Across the UK, only just over 600 businesses, have achieved the certification to date.
Edit’s B Corp Journey
We realised that many of the values that are integral to B Corp certification align with Edit’s values, where we were, or wanted to be. Not just from a top-down perspective but from soliciting the opinions of Editors at all levels of the business.
We were passionate to be a force for good, and felt strongly about how business should operate, with the focus being on people and planet, so achieving B-Corp would solidify this aim into a more defined process.
Prior to the start of our B Corp journey, Edit were already providing some great B Corp aligned services, examples include our mental health awareness drives, and the charitable initiatives that we lead, our Lifestyle Benefit, and our sustainability efforts, but the B Corp certification process really opened our eyes to how much more could be done.
