News: Edit’s Rob McGowan Earns Spot in DataIQ 100

Last night Edit’s Managing Director Rob McGowan was awarded a coveted spot as part of DataIQ’s top 100 most influential people in data, a fully curated power list of the most influential data and analytics practitioners across the United Kingdom.

The final list is chosen by DataIQ from a pool of over 1000 applicants, during deliberation three factors are considered for each candidate; leadership – demonstrating the importance and value of data and analytics, engagement with the broader data, and how the candidate can support DataIQ with their mission of advancing the profession of data and analytics.

Rob joins esteemed company this year, with data leaders from across the public and private sectors, joining names from the UK’s leading marketing agencies and data platforms, with the top spot being awarded to Andy Hill, Chief Data Officer, Unilever.

Rob shares with us his thoughts on being chosen,

In my two decades working in data, I’ve seen its influence on every aspect of a company’s decision-making grow exponentially. That is in no small part thanks to the work of the pioneering leaders recognised in the Data IQ 100, so it is an absolute honour to be recognised amongst this year’s cohort. Across my own career I’ve found constant inspiration in the stories you can tell with data, the transformative effects in can have on people’s lives, and how the right insights can unlock limitless growth. With Edit recently being awarded B Corp status, I want to continue to use my platform as a data-leader to educate, inspire, and support the next generations in using data as a force for good.

The complete DataIQ 100 list can be found here on the DataIQ website, congratulations to all of the chosen 100!
